Lotus Recalls 2013 Evora Models Over Missing Sticker

Volkswagen Australia says it has no plans to recall vehicles, despite recent complaints about some models suddenly decelerating.

A coronial investigation was held this week into the death Melissa Ryan, who was killed when her Volkswagen Golf was hit from behind by a truck on the Monash Freeway in 2011.
According to media reports, the truck driver and Ms Ryan's family said the car dramatically slowed before the crash.
The investigation sparked complaints by other owners.
But Volkswagen Australia has defended the safety of its cars, saying there is no evidence to suggest "vehicle fault was involved in [Melissa Ryan's] crash".
"At this time we do not plan to announce a recall. Any recalls are conducted in accordance with the Consumer Product Safety Recall Guidelines issued by the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission," Volkswagen said in a statement.
It also says while rapid deceleration is not a common issue with its cars, the 'limp mode' function is not unique to Volkswagen vehicles.
The 'limp mode' function partially cuts power to the engine in the event of a problem to prevent further damage to the engine [...]

Volkswagen has confirmed it will recall some of its cars in Australia after a fatal accident in Victoria sparked safety concerns about some models.

A coronal inquest has been held into the death of Melissa Ryan, 32, who was killed when her VW Golf was hit from behind by a truck on the Monash Freeway in 2011.

Another Volkswagen offshoot, Audi, is recalling more than 6000 A1 and A3 models, manufactured from July 2008 to July 2011.
The problem is reportedly in gearboxes, which will be replaced free of charge during the recall.
Reports suggest more then 30,000 car owners will be affected Australia-wide.

Honda recheama 143083 de bucati Honda Fit (2007-2008) vandute in SUA pentru probeleme la instalatia electrica a geamurilor. Masinile au fost rechemate in 2010 pentru aceeasi problema, dar Honda considera ca solutia adopatata atunci pentru remediere nu este suficienta, asa ca va schimba blocul de butoane:

Nu prea înțeleg cum ar putea cauza uleiul sintetic din cutie o defecțiune electricã, pe care un ulei mineral n-ar cauza-o. Cutia aia are componente electronice scufundate în ulei? Și cumva uleiul sintetic conduce curentul mai bine decît ãla mineral?

Și cum poate înlocuirea unui ulei de calitate cu unul inferior sã poatã fi numitã "soluție"?

Dacã cutia aia are o problemã de proiectare de naturã electricã, atunci aceasta trebuie rezolvatã, nu ascunsã sub preș printr-un "downgrade" de ulei.
