The new Ludicrous+ mode on the P100D that has made the Model S the fastest accelerating car from 0 to 60 mph of all time.
We all understand acceleration. It’s the rate of change of velocity. This 4,891-pound Tesla Model S P100D does it best, reaching 30, 40, 50, and 60 mph from a standstill more quickly than any other production vehicle we’ve ever tested, full stop. In our testing, no production car has ever cracked 2.3 seconds from 0 to 60 mph. But Tesla has, in 2.275507139 seconds.

Pe de alta parte,
The Tesla does not hold the advantage forever, though, because higher speeds give the advantage to horsepower over instant torque. The Ferrari LaFerrari hits 70 mph a tenth of a second quicker; the Porsche 918 and McLaren P1 pull ahead at 80 mph, and these hypercars all continue to pull away at higher speeds. But around town, everybody has long since lifted off the accelerator pedal.

"Elon Musk, fondatorul Tesla, a anunțat marți că are intenția să retragă de pe bursă constructorul de mașini electrice vârf de gamă, determinând suspendarea temporara a tranzacționării acțiunilor pe Bursa din New York, scrie AFP.

Informația a provocat suspendarea tranzacționării acțiunilor pe Wall Street, în condițiile în care acestea se apreciau cu peste 7%. Tranzacționarea s-a reluat cu un sfert de oră înainte de închidere, acțiunea terminând ședința cu un avans de aproape 11%.

Acest anunț intervine în momentul în care se multiplică atacurile speculatorilor, care pariază pe prăbușirea Tesla, o strategie financiară denumită "short selling". Aceștia nu cred că Tesla va reuși să respecte calendarul de producție al Model 3, vehicul care ar urma să transforme compania în constructor de masă.

"Vizez retragerea Tesla de pe bursă la 420 de dolari (pe acțiune). Finanțare asigurată", a scris Musk, pe Twitter, la jumătatea ședinței de tranzacționare pe Wall Street.
