Supercars have always existed to keep our passion for automobiles on constant boil, and supercars that don't crest the six-figure mark are the best kind. They're almost attainable. The Nissan GT-R remains that way for 2010 with a price bump to help pay for a few upgrades from the factory. The base model will begin at $80,790 and the Premium model at $83,040. According to Edmunds.com, the new MSRPs are both $3,950 more than what you would pay for a 2009 model.

What does an extra four grand get you? A lot actually, not the least of which is a 5-horsepower bump for the twin-turbo 3.8-liter V6, which nets a new grand total of 485 hp. Other additions include a retuned suspension with redesigned Bilstein shocks, an upgraded braking system with more rigid brake lines, standard front seat- and roof-mounted side curtain airbags for the base GT-R model, standard wheels for the GT-R with a darker finish and "near-black" metallic wheels for the Premium model. A new color is also available, Pearl White, and you get a polished front bumper now when ordering your car in Super Silver.

Oh, and there's one more thing: Nissan has given the GT-R new Transmission Control Module programming. The new code is said to increase durability and drop acceleration times with the Vehicle Dynamic Control activated. It should also put an end to concerns about damaging the transmission by using the vehicle's Launch Control with VDC turned off. Preliminary reports indicate that the 2010 GT-R is still faster than all get out with the new programming.

Ah le printemps… la température qui remonte, la nature qui se réveille après le long sommeil de l’hiver, le retour des hirondelles, des cigognes et des constructeurs sur le Nürburgring. Parmi ceux-ci, Nissan revient vérifier les progrès de son enfant prodigue, la GT-R en version 2009 avec quelques chevaux de plus, de nouveaux réglages de suspension et de subtils ajustements du pilotage de la transmission par rapport à la voiture de 2008.

Comme l’année dernière, c’est le pilote d’essais attitré de la GT-R Toshio Suzuki qui s’est mis au volant pour une tentative de tour chronométrée qui s’est rapidement avérée gagnante le 15 avril. 7mn 27s 56, c’est 1 seconde et demi de mieux que le fameux 7mn 29s de 2008. Pour être tout à fait précis, la voiture portait un jeu de roues forgées Rays, les mêmes que la GTR Spec V qui sont également disponibles dans le pack Nismo Club Sports, montées en Dunlop, le plus rapide des deux types de pneus proposés en première monte sur la voiture.

Pour couper court à toute rumeur et accusation, Nissan avait invité des représentants des médias ainsi que de… Porsche, ce qui malheureusement nous privera d’un remake de l’hilarant échange de communiqués de presse agacés de l’année dernière. Nissan indique que la piste était assez poussièreuse, et va essayer de faire mieux aujourd’hui si les conditions le permettent. Il est vrai qu’il serait de bonne augure d’accrocher le temps de la Corvette ZR1 avant même de penser à mettre la Spec V en piste. Mais pour l’instant, c’est bien l’Américaine qui a toujours la main, avec rappelons le 7mn 26s 40.

After a second day of testing, Nissan claims that the 2010 model hacked off nearly a second from its time on Wednesday, delivering an unofficial lap of 7:26.7 – a mere four-tenths of second behind the Corvette ZR1's official time and just over a second slower than the Ferrari Enzo. As always, unofficial times should be taken with the appropriate amount of NaCl, and the way things are going, we expect Porsche (or GM) to fire back, at which point Nissan may finally release the GT-R SpecV's lap time.

ors que les premières unités de la Nissan GT-R commercialisées sur leur terre natale peuvent se remettre à jour et au niveau vis à vis des nouvelle moutures, aux USA on aime également bichonner la sportive japonaise. Le préparateur Vorsteiner, plus coutumier de modifications de berlines, coupés et sportives allemandes, décline ainsi le kit Ventross dans le souci d’optimiser l’agressivité visuelle de la bombe du Nürburgring.

Le préparateur Vorsteiner ne se penche pas sur la partie mécanique de la plus radicale des sportives nippones. Plus tard, sûrement. Pour l’heure le kit Ventross se résume à diverses modifications cosmétiques permettant au bout du compte de gagner quelques kilogrammes sur la balance. Combien ? Mystère.

Indéniablement des dizaines de kilogrammes grâce à ce kit aérodynamique en fibre de carbone composé d’éléments à l’image d’un spoiler, d’un diffuseur arrière, de jupes latérales ou de nouveaux boucliers.

se pare ca nissan v-a lansa un gt-r spec-M , care va avea o suspensie mai bine reglata si o customizare mai buna a interiorului, fiind mai ieftina ca un spec-v:

While a report published in WCF told of how the Nissan GT-R Spec-V would not be the final word on the amazing GT-R saga, a Spec-M was not in our minds. These spy pictures show this very car for the first time and confirm that Nissan will continue upgrading the 3.8-litre supercar.

Visual modifications include the front and rear bumpers. The Spec-M will be highly customisable where buyers are able to specify items like red bucket seats to match the black interior, dash trim (aluminium or wood grain) and other interior features straight from the factory. The exterior can also be individualised to include a range of personal colours for the paintwork as well as some aero pieces like the rear wing.

Mechanicals like the engine, transmission and brakes stay standard. Technical work will be done on the suspension which will be tweaked.

Nissan has a history of churning special official GT-R models aplenty during the brand's life cycle. The previous-generation Skyline R34 GT-R spawned models like the M-Spec and the Nür.

Best of all it seems the Spec-M will be priced lower than the Spec-V at around ¥10 million (US$110,000/ €75,350) standard and less than ¥13 million (US$143,300/ €97,966) with an extensive list of options ticked off.
