Renault Sport Enthusiast Days in 2007Organised by Renault Sport Technologies and open to owners of sports models from the Renault range, the Renault Sport Enthusiast Days programme is to continue in 2007. Since their introduction in 2005, these events have already attracted close to 1,300 participants (500 in 2005, 800 in 2006) and this year's calendar features a combination of Track Days, Clio Renault Sport Discovery Days, Driving Tuition Days and Alpine Renault Factory Visits. In addition to the Renault Sport Enthusiast Days programme itself, a particularly warm welcome will once again be given to enthusiasts who attend World Series by Renault meetings with their Renault Sport model or classic Renault.A total of 24 Enthusiast Days will be run in 2007 and, in response to demand, the total number of places available has been increased by 25 per cent to 1,300. This year's participants will find all the ingredients that have forged the success of the Renault Sport Enthusiast Days programme in the past two years:
− 13 instructive, convivial Track Days during which participants will be able to take full advantage of their vehicle's dynamic potential. They will also get the chance to testdrive Renault Sport models under the watchful eye of the organizing staff who will be on-hand to give out tips and to ensure that conduct guidelines are adhered to.
− 5 Driving Tuition Days aimed at giving participants a chance to either discover the thrill of driving a single-seater racecar or develop their control skills at the wheel of Clio Renault Sport.
− 4 one-day Alpine Renault Factory Visits. Participants will be able to discover or rediscover the celebrated production plant in Dieppe, northern France, where Renault Sport models are assembled.
− 2 Clio Renault Sport range Discovery Days. Participants will see vehicles being
produced on the Alpine Renault factory's assembly lines in Dieppe before going on to take the wheel themselves at either the EIA circuit in Pont l’Evêque or at Abbeville's Stadium Automobile. Both of these venues are situated in northern France.
− The Renault Sport Enthusiast Days Challenge will reward the most active participants who stand to win one of the following prizes:
− 1st prize: a free entry for one person for a Driving Tuition Day at the wheel of a Formula Renault at one of the 2007 Renault Sport Enthusiast Days' partner schools,
− 2nd prize: a free entry for one car and two people for a Track Day organized in France in 2008,
− 3rd prize: a free entry for one car and one person for a Track Day organized in France in 2008.
New features for 2007 include:
• 2 Track Days organized outside of France (Brands Hatch/Great Britain and Spa-Francorchamps/Belgium).
• The introduction of two 2 new French circuits that haven't previously hosted a Renault Sport Enthusiast Day (Pôle Mécanique d’Alès and Circuit de l’Ouest Parisien, Dreux).
• One Track Day (Domaine de Mornay, June 23, 2007) where priority will be given to drivers of rear-wheel drive cars (Clio V6, Spider, 5 Turbo, Alpine).
• A photographic competition. Participants who submit the best three photos taken in the course of the year will win one of the following prizes:
- 1st prize: a free entry for one car and two people for a Renault Sport Enthusiast Track Day organized in France in 2008.
- 2nd prize: a free entry for one car and one person for a Renault Sport Enthusiast Track Day organized in France in 2008.
- 3rd prize: a free entry for two people for an Alpine Renault factory visit in Dieppe in 2008.
