what is this?! is it from a movie?! or what?! because i can't imagine that somebody "happened" to be there with a high speed camera and record that?

When I saw the first picture I thought it was an experiment with two old cars and a crash-test dummy, but on the other photos you can see the man's face pretty clearly... poor guy... he's learnt a lesson for life if he survived. But it's very strange that someone was right there and took the pictures. Actually it could have been a motion film, from which they froze these frames. Strange, but anyway, the message is clear: wear the belt if you want to have a chance for survival!
Oh, and something else connected to the topic, which I consider very important:
air-bags without safety belt are killers
I wish many safe journeys to everyone.

I thought that too... but in those last photos it can be seen that is very real.

The man in the 2nd picture is a crash test dummy - check the colour of the right hand.

Both of you are probably right, first I didn't pay much attention to the man standing there.
If I had been there I would have done something different: during the crash get behind something so that I don't get hit by falling parts, and afterwards ... well ... that's hard to tell. Normally one should go and help, but I think, for a few moments everyone would be too scared to move.
And why did exactly those two old cars crash?
And what about the grey car's driver? It seems to be a left-hand-drive car, but even if the flying guy was the "driver", there was somebody or something man-shaped in the left seat.

In the same third photo there is a panel, similar to ones used in movie sets, to direct/redirect light... With the man standing there, it looks like a shooting.

Blanco's link is great too, but the actors' faces are just too calm....
Sorry for so many partial replies, I forgot somehing again: as Blorin has aleady mentioned, that wooden board looks very suspicious. If one wants to make a good fake, he should take it seriously, because such mistakes ruin everything. And they probably don't have the money to do it again.

I believe this pictures are taken form a TV spot made in Austria. It was intended to make drivers more aware of the dangers involved in high speed driving.
