apropo de american muscle, ma uitam aiurea la tv duminica si era un film veeechi cu nu stiu ce cursa si unele cu un countach faceau autostopul. S-a oprit unu' cu un sl veechi (guldwing) care facea cam urat.
ele-nu suna a masina nemteasca...i-ai facut ceva ?

Motorul de pe SL-ul ala nu ajungea nici la baia de ulei a Hemi-ului.Spre deosebire de perioada actuala,cand masini de 4-5-600 CP sunt la tot pasul,pe vrea aia Hemi nu avea rival (ma rog,eventual tot alt motor de pe alt muscle-car).

Unul din alea vechi,habar n-am.Unul nou ar bate orice la pretul ala.De exemplu,ultima generatie de Camaro (cea produsa pana in 2002),versiunea SS,batea pe circuit Honda S2000 si Porsche Boxster S,care costa sensibil mai mult.

pai la cele vechi ma refeream. Oricum, nici ultima generatie de camaro nu-mi place deloc (e vorba de gust...nu spun ca e proasta, ca n-o fi smile.gif )
un camaro d'asta nou, sau challanger mi-ar conveni smile.gif . am inteles ca cel mi scump o sa fie pe la 30k

Chiar 30.000 nu cred ca o sa fie,tinand seama ca restul SRT-8-urilor care se bazeaza pe platforma aia (300C,Magnum,Charger) costa 38-42.000 USD.Dar 35.000 ar fi oricum un pret foarte rezonabil.

E scumpa benzina...e vorba de V8-uri de 6 litri,si tu vorbesti de consum.De ce nu ma mira oare ca scrie "dCi" in semnatura ta ?!

Pai si cum ai vrea sa reactionez la un asemenea post ? Sau poate ca ma insel eu,si sunt multi oameni care sunt in dilema ce sa cumpere de banii aia,Audi A6 Avant 2.0 TDI sau Dodge Challenger.E foarte probabil ca la un moment in viata sa te gandesti "Oare ce-mi trebuie mie ? Masina de famile,break,Diesel,de 140 CP,sau muscle-car cu un V8 imens de 425 CP ?"
Pentru orice fan al acestui gen de masina care dispune de banii sa o cumpere,consumul e ultimul lucru la care se uita.

Spuneam si eu acolo, nu dadeam cu bata. Am avut cam vreo 2 luni un Buick Park Avenue din '94 pe mana si stiu ce consumuri poate atinge un V8 de "numai" 3800 cmc, dar'mite unul de 6L... smile.gif plus ca ma refeream la noi, cei mai "umili" dintre cei de pe forum ;P

toate-s jucarii pe langa un AC Cobra din "65 cu motor Ford V8 de 7000 cmc. adevarata bomba.

si apropo de muscle cars....stiti care-a fost cel mai "tare motor" :

"Without a doubt the most powerful engine ever made, the Ford 427 Cammer was developed with the intention of taking on Chrysler's Hemis. Ford gave the 427 block new heads with hemispherical combustion chambers. To cap that, they fitted overhead camshafts -- one per cylinder bank -- which gave the engine its name and allowed it to rev to an unheard of 7,500 rpm. With the regular single four barrel carb, the "cammer" put out 616 bhp, but with dual four-barrels, it produced a massive 657 bhp. With this kind of power, the "cammer" 427 was totally unsuitable for street use. These engines were not sold to the general public, but about 50 examples were built, mostly for professional drag racers. Because of the low production volumes, NASCAR refused to accept the engine as a regular production option, and thus Ford couldn't use the engine to combat the Hemi's. This sealed this engine's fate and Ford discontinued it after 1965.

Ratings:
616bhp @ 7500rpm sau 657 bhp @ 7500rpm, 550 lb-ft.

Ce legatura are Cobra de acum 40 ani cu conceptul de Challenger ? La fel,ce legatura are un motor care nu s-a produs in serie cu conceptul de Challenger ? Sunt multe masini mai rapide si in linie dreapta si pe curbe,dar cate costa ~35.000 USD ?

motoru ala nu s-a produs pentru masini de strada, dar...unii au facut rost de el si l-au pus pe masini d-astea(vezi poza lui semit).
