The rear is an FX-ified version of the new Nissan Patrol, and the package rides on anice set of Infiniti's trademark wheels. Modelul actual este bazat pe Nissan Armada, model american. Acesta nou parca ar fi un Nissan patrol cu ceva modificari stilistice si cu alta sigla.
Oricum, sunt mari amandoua.

When Nissan unveiled the all-new Patrol SUV in the Middle East last month, we already knew that we'd be seeing the rebranded Infiniti version as the 2011 QX56 at the New York Auto Show. Furthermore, spy photos left little to the imagination. Today, leaked official images leave exactly zero to the imagination.

Despite what appears to be an effort to infuse a dollop of FX style to the front end, the 2011 Infiniti QX56 manages to retain an awkward-looking "forehead" (much like its predecessor) that's reminiscent of Frankenstein's monster, thanks to the not-insubstantial amount of bodywork that rises above the headlamps. There's also a garish fender vent the approximate size of Martha's Vineyard. While the QX56's front and rear end treatments are unique to the Infiniti, the basic profile and daylight opening are identical to the new Patrol, as is the lavishly-appointed interior, which appears to just swap steering wheel logos.

Given that we already know the vehicle nomenclature - QX56 - look for the same 5.6-liter, 400-horsepower, 405 pound-foot direct-injected V8 that's available in the Nissan. Likewise, we expect to see most, if not all, of the same technological features the new Patrol offers, such as its seven-speed automatic transmission, electronic four-wheel-drive with driver-selectable modes, and hydraulic anti-roll system.

SUV-ul va avea un motor V8 de 5,6 litri, cu injectie directa, care va putea produce 400 de cai putere.

Motorul are transmisie automata cu sapte rapoarte, de o tractiune integrala electronica si un sistem anti-rostogolire hidraulic.

Imaginea SUV-ului de lux este inspirata de FX si M, fiind impozant si cu acelasi gabarit mare. Interiorul nu este prea mult modificat.

AutoItalia estimeaza ca va vinde in Romania de trei ori mai multe masini Infiniti in acest an ca urmare a deschiderii unui show-room. In primele doua luni, importatorul marcii a vandut deja zece unitati.

"Show-room-ul Infiniti era programat sa fie deschis anul trecut, insa din cauza unor necorelari inaugurarea a fost amanata pentru primavara acestui an. Acesti factori au influentat in mod negativ vanzarile marcii de piata locala. In acest context, o activitate organizata la nivelul vanzarilor ne permite sa mizam pe cresterea livrarilor la 60 de unitati", a declarat Mircea Eremia, directorul general al marcii Infiniti.

Infiniti Romania mizeaza pe o cota de 10% din piata locala a masinilor premium. Divizia Premium a marcii japoneze Nissan, Infiniti, este reprezentata in noul show-room prin modelele G37 Sedan, G37 Coupe, G37 Cabrio, EX37 Coupe Crossover si gama de modele FX.

Modele comercializate de Infiniti Romania au preturi cuprinse intre 41.900 euro pentru varianta de baza a G37 Sedan si 82.000 euro pentru modelul editie limitata FX.

Eremia a precizat ca modelele europene sunt total diferite de cele comercializate pe piata din Statele Unite, avand 500 de specificatii diferite fata de modelele vizate pe aceasta piata.

Inmatricularile Infiniti au scazut anul trecut cu 62,7% fata de 2008, la 22 de unitati.
