Prevenirea accidentelor permite conducatorului auto sa prevada riscurile si sa-si adapteze comportamentul. Auto. Renault sunt dotate cu doua sisteme de prevenire al accidentelor:
- sistem de atentionare a soferului cand apare un risc (avertizoare sonore, lumini de atentionare, etc.);
- sisteme pentru a face sofatul mai usor, conducatorul auto sa fie concentrat doar asupra drumului.

Averizor sonor centuri siguranta "Audible seat belt reminder (SBR)"

Faruri si stergatoare automate

Faruri adaptive

Faruri Xenon si Bi-xenon

Sistemul de monitorizare al presiunii din pneuri

Diverse fise de siguranta "Safety Datasheets" (4,18MB)

Renault continues to set new safety standards

Always keenly aware of road safety issues, Renault has spent more than 50 years researching and developing technology that is designed to make its vehicles safer. In the process, the company has established itself as a key player in the field and is now regarded as the international automotive industry’s yardstick. Today it is the only manufacturer to offer a range of cars that achieve highest-level safety standards in every class, as the latest EuroNCAP crash test results confirm.
Using road accident data as a starting point, Renault works on innovative onboard safety systems that correspond to real-world driving situations. One major area of research involves looking at drivers’ perception of their environment, in order to warn them about potential hazards and give them greater anticipatory capacities. The interactivity between drivers and their vehicle should be permanent and adaptable to every situation. Present on the Renault stand in Geneva, the Man-Machine-Interface (MMI) Demonstrator provides a practical illustration.

Developing expertise through real-world road data

Renault draws on research and analysis of real-life accident statistics to refine its vehicle designs. Studies carried out by LAB (the PSA Peugeot-Citroën and Renault Laboratory for Accident Research, Biomechanics and Study of Human Behaviour) enable constant improvements to be made when it comes to fitting cars with safety systems that respond in the best possible way to real-life accident situations. This level of research goes way beyond the minimal requirements expected by legislators or consumers. Because every driver is unique, Renault does its best to provide a range of cars that carry the latest safety innovations. From New Twingo to Espace via Laguna, Mégane and Clio, you’ll find electronic speed limiter/cruise control, automatically self-activating lights and windscreen wipers, unfastened seat-belt warning signals, ABS, EBA (emergency brake assist), ESP (electronic stability programme), programmed crumple zones, anti-submarining devices, ISOFIX child seat fittings and frontal, lateral and curtain airbags. All are proven to be effective – and all are available across the whole Renault range.

Humans inspire Renault’s safety drive

When it comes to road safety, Renault puts human beings at the heart of its research. Technology moves on as a function of humans’ needs, driving skills and ability to perceive – and react to – their surroundings on the road. The Geneva Show offers visitors a chance to find out all about the Man-Machine-Interface (MMI) Demonstrator, which proved to be a huge hit when it made its public debut at the Paris Motor Show last September. This simulator showcases some of the avenues Renault is researching in order to improve its range in the years to come. It allows visitors to drive a virtual vehicle bristling with futuristic technology. They
find themselves in a variety of situations and witness how Renault’s safety systems compensate for their mistakes and errors of perception. The purpose of such systems is to make life on the road easier by supplying the information drivers need, at the right time and in the right place.

Some of the future developments presently being researched:

• Improved real-time navigation systems, including the display of guidance information within a driver’s field of vision so that they can calmly register information without having to take their eyes of the road.
• Optimised visibility thanks to a system that filters dazzle, day and night, through the vehicle’s entire glazed surface to ensure that drivers always benefit from clear, unobstructed views of their environment.
• Improve drivers’ ability to perceive and anticipate risk situations thanks to audio and visual aids. This involves the availability of essential information enabling risk situations to be handled calmly the instant they arise (change in road surface, somebody or something suddenly crossing the vehicle’s path, right of way for an approaching vehicle, etc.).
• Heighten drivers’ awareness of their surroundings: warn them that they are approaching sensitive areas such as schools or zones of heavy traffic so that they can exercise added caution and vigilance.

Acum o sa devieze in cine stie ce discutii.
