mark..is there any chance that we can see your car?
marktwingolondon
Daniel, here they are a couple of pics, for the time being these are the bits I changed:

1) Wheels with some white alloys (I personally like the mini's rally style very much), tires 185/55 R14
2) Rear lights with some very nice lexus style
3) Ice with a brand new Pioneer DEH7800MP, MB Quart 100Wx4 amp, Focal speakers 2way KPS 165, and a 200W passive sub from JVC.
4) Direct air intake from Ramair
5) Air grill on the bonnet replaced with mesh.

Bought but still to fit in the car:
5) Koni fully adjustable suspension
6) Supersprint twin oval exhaust
7) M3 style rear mirrors (maybe painted in white...)

To do:
Window tinting
Engine swap

Hey Daniel, sorry for not being in touch, weeks have been hectic and I didn't have internet lately, anyway, here there are the picture you asked me while ago of the air intake.
As you can see it's rather simple, you can literally replace the original intake in 15 minutes without any help biggrin.gif

twingooo
how much for the whole thing?
marktwingolondon
50-70 euro, depending on the brand, maybe a bit more if you go for K&N
Capacea
Hi, Mark how much does this air filter increase the power of the car?
Is this investment worth it?
What brand would you recommend?
Thanks

mark...don't be a stranger...anything new lately?
marktwingolondon
Sorry about the late reply guys, didn't find much time to surf and talk about our twingos lately.
Everything's is pretty much the same on my little baby, I would love to do so many things but the lack of money stops me sad.gif
Have any of you made some interesting mods?

To reply to the previous questions, yes I think is worth to change the intake with a better/sporty one, I wouldn't go for the rock bottom brands thou, I don't know, I think since isn't extremely expensive is worth going for brands like K&N, I've got a Ramair and is good too.
Change only the intake won't give you much more power, only 1 max 2BHP, and will mess a bit the air/fuel mix (in all gears there is a better response but my max speed is now lower than before, but should be corrected by changing the CO2 settings on the ECU), but will give you a great hiss at high revs, a tiny bit more torque and a good 10% fuel economy -when you drive sensibly.... icon_mrgreen.gif

The ideal would be to add also a full exhaust, perhaps also without cat, and finally remap the ECU to work the increased air-fuel flow.
That's supposed to be the full phase 1, at the end of which you should gain about 10-12BHP.. cool.gif

mark!all his for a 2000 quid twingo?and an extra of 10HP?naaa, sell the the damn thing and go for the 1.2 16v engine. i've noticed that ure an italian driving a left side wheel twingo in the uk...would that be related to the fact that there weren't twingos for the uk market or ure feeling home sick?!
smile.gif
cheers,

daniel

twingooo i don't know if the 1.2 16v engine would be such a great idea. from what i heard 1.2 8v is not that sensitive.
thanks mark for the details. i hope i will have the money soon to make most of the mods.
see you around
twingooo
k pax...remove the dust and the shitty gasoline and you'll have the perfect seting to own and enjoy the 1.2 16v engine, yes, that's the uk environment.
K-PAX
yes but if you keep it clean constantly i don't think i will have any problems.
at least i hope so. biggrin.gif

Daniel, I always feel homesick when I'm in London! lol
I drove my twingo straight from Rome a couple of years ago, wanted to convert it to english plate, but I still have to change the speedo from km to m.

http://www.twingomania.com/ mark's an admin there so you should ask the man himself.

Mark, hail to the MOT!!!!
K-PAX
So you changed your steering from left to right-hand??is that possible??
marktwingolondon
Nope, I didn't change the steering, that would have costed waaaaay too much, I think is possible if you order the whole cockpit from Japan or from a new Twingo, but swap the position of the steering column, throttle/brake/cluch pedals etc would be absolutely crazy.. wacko.gif

At the moment I've only swapped out the reverse-fog lights at the back, since I didn't fancy one of those ugly square fog light you can often see in lhd cars with english plate.
I still need to get the speedo converter from km to miles thou, and that's essential I think...
twingooo
mark, any news? how's the mighty twingo holding up?
turbodxman
Brilliant idea twingooo!
Keep up the good work guys tongue.gif
