Fluence expresses Renault’s vision of a key theme in automobiles: that of upmarket, four-seater coupés. Mission accomplished: “Fluence is both a drawing and a sculpture. It blends bearing, generosity, elegance and fluidity,”explains Patrick le Quément. Sporting and sensual Fluence is a 4.60-metre long coupé whose voluptuous forms are sculpted from simple, structured lines. It is a modern expression of the principle that underlies all coupés: pleasure of movement.

This pleasure of movement is suggested by the visually dynamic contrast of a sloping front and a vertical rear. The frontal design is streamlined: the radiator grille is absent to focus attention on the lozenge logo and to evoke other prestigious Renault cars. Narrow indicators juxtapose the headlamps, whose shape reinforces the purity and fluidity that characterize Fluence’s frontal styling. A double strip of LEDs set at different angles is housed behind two transparent curved glass lenses. The diodes illuminate as the steering angle changes to provide multi-directional lighting when cornering. Two air intakes extend and accentuate the headlamps’ form, bridged by a third narrow, horizontal inlet.

In contrast with the flowing frontal treatment, the vertical profile of Fluence’s rear conveys a strong sense of energy. This impression of energy is underpinned by the contrast between wide wings, highlighted by the elongated, horizontal lights, and a taller central section in a different colour. This section connects the rear window with a twin centre exhaust outlet, framed by an air extractor.

In between its very different front and rear, Fluence is structured around a horizontal plane. Lines of force emerge at the front to converge at the centre of the tailgate. Two run almost symmetrically the length of each side. Two others frame the bonnet, then the roof and the rear window. This V-shaped rear window connects seamlessly to the windscreen by two strips of glass that stretch the length of the roof before dropping down towards the tailgate. The base of the body shell, with its aluminium finish, encircles the body to help reduce drag, a function also performed by the wheel rims.

The 22” wheels are further promise of Fluence's driving pleasure. Inside Fluence, a natural and welcoming harmony “Fluence’s interior is simple and easily remembered, with natural harmony,” explains Patrick le Quément. Light pours in through the glazed area to bring out the full intensity of the prevailing Rouge Margaux red. The printed leather seats are mounted on runners. The sides of the seat back and cushion fan out when the doors are opened, ready to welcome occupants. The lateral seat supports can then be adjusted to suit individual preferences. The door armrests, which are also on runners, adjust their position in conjunction with the seats.


The leather dashboard is again predominately red with beige accents. Its ethereal design resembles a leaf that has been rolled then nipped at its centre. This leaf theme is repeated in the design of the centre console. In a spiral movement it embraces the intuitive Touch Design controls. Using a joystick, the driver selects the car’s main functions which are shown on a fold-away screen in the upper part of the dashboard. Instruments use both digital and analogue display against a black and Rouge Margaux
background.

Special attention has been paid to comfort in the back, beginning with the vast and welcoming enveloping rear seat. Renault’s designers looked to home furnishings as inspiration for the reading lamps. These fit flush with the headlining and, when required, are released by pulling a leather tab then tilted to the ideal angle. The boot, lined in Rouge Margaux leather, provides 396 dm3 capacity with two side storage units. It is accessed via the tailgate by means of an innovative opening mechanism: the tailgate slides over the roof thanks to an articulated arm in its centre. This does away with side openings that obstruct access to the boot.


What design promises, engineering delivers Fluence’s powertrain extends an irresistible invitation to travel. The front-mounted 3.5 litre V6 petrol engine develops 280hp and brings driving pleasure at every speed. The finely-tuned suspensions and chassis allow a fast and agile driving style that adapts to all road conditions. Carefully-studied acoustics produce a deep and powerful engine sound. Fluence is as much a pleasure to drive as a top-ofthe- range saloon, while six-speed automatic transmission with sequential control adds to driving comfort and serenity.

Fluence este un Coupe Sport de 4 locuri si 4,60m lungime (gama lux).

Acest concept a fost prezentat pentru prima data in cadrul concursului de eleganta automobilistica Louis Vuitton Classic in iunie 2004.

Motorizare: 3.5l V6 (benzina) cu 280 cp.

Fluence, ultimul concept car Renault, este un coupé sport haut de gamme, cu patru locuri. Caroseria sa fluida si habitaclul primitor sunt descrise de linii simple si volume imbietoare. Pentru Patrick le Quément, directorul departamentului de design de la Renault, “Fluence se inscrie in traditia marilor caroserii frantuzesti�. Conceptul a fost prezentat astazi, 4 iunie, in cadrul prestigiosului concurs de eleganta automobilistica Louis Vuitton Classic, din Anglia.

Prin Fluence, Renault isi exprima viziunea asupra unei teme automobilistice majore: cea a unui coupé haut de gamme, cu patru locuri. Misiunea a fost indeplinita. “Fluence este, in acelasi timp, un desen si o sculptura. Ea inglobeaza o personalitate marcanta, generozitate, eleganta si fluiditate �, afirma Patrick le Quément.

Orice concept car are sanse sa ajunga candva pe piata. Uneori mai repede, alteori mai tarziu, alteori de loc.

Iata exemplul lui Espace.

Sportiva si senzuala
Fluence este un coupé lung de 4,60 m, ale carui forme voluptuoase iau nastere din liniile simple si structurate. Acest concept car exprima intr-un spirit modern tema pe care se bazeaza universul automobilelor coupé: placerea vitezei. Ideea este evocata de opozitia, deosebit de dinamica din punct de vedere vizual, dintre partea din fata inclinata si cea din spate, verticala. Desenul partii frontale este remarcabil de simplu: absenta calandrului pune in evidenta binecunoscutul romb. Designul farurilor, aflate in prelungirea lampilor de semnalizare deosebit de fine, subliniaza puritatea si fluiditatea partii din fata. Un sir dublu de diode electroluminiscente, orientate sub diferite unghiuri, este amplasat in spatele a doua lentile curbate, fabricate din sticla transparenta. Diodele sunt alimentate in functie de unghiul de bracaj al volanului si permit o iluminare multidirectionala la viraje. Doua orificii de admisie a aerului prelungesc si accentueaza desenul farurilor.

Ca raspuns la linia fluida a partii din fata, cea din spate exprima o energie deosebita datorita profilului vertical. Impresia de energie este accentuata de contrastul dintre aripile mari, subliniate de lampile de semnalizare discrete si alungite si o parte centrala mai inalta, vopsita intr-o culoare contrastanta.

Intre cele doua extremitati contrastante, desenul automobilului este organizat pe un plan orizontal: linii de forta, formate in partea din fata, se intalnesc in centrul haionului. Doua dintre ele parcurg in lungime fiecare flanc al vehiculului de o maniera aproape simetrica. Alte doua deseneaza capota, apoi plafonul si luneta din spate. Partea inferioara a caroseriei, tratata cu aluminiu, inconjoara caroseria si contribuie la gestionarea fluxurilor de aer de o maniera asemanatoare cu cea a jantelor. Rotile de 22 de toli accentueaza promisiunea placerii de a conduce acest automobil.

Interior: o armonie naturala si imbietoare
“Interiorul este simplu si remarcabil. Armonia sa este naturala“, afirma Patrick le Quément. Suprafata vitrata creeaza o luminozitate care amplifica intensitatea culorii dominante – “rosu Margaux�. Fiecare dintre scaunele imbracate in piele este fixat pe o sina. Portiunile laterale ale sezutului si spatarului se desfac o data cu deschiderea usilor ca o invitatie de a patrunde in habitaclu. Ulterior, sistemul permite reglarea adecvata a rezematorilor laterale. Cotierele din panourile usilor se regleaza odata cu scaunele.

Plansa de bord imbracata in piele rosie si bej, pare formata dintr-o foaie infasurata si decupata in centru. Tema se regaseste si in desenul consolei centrale care inglobeaza comenzi intuitive, concepute conform conceptului “Touch Design�.

Cu ajutorul unui joystick, conducatorul automobilului are posibilitatea sa selecteze functiile principale ale vehiculului, putandu-le citi ulterior pe un ecran escamotabil, amplasat in partea superioara a tabloului de bord. Contoarele ofera un afisaj digital si unul analogic.

Confortul partii din spate s-a bucurat de o atentie deosebita. Bancheta invaluitoare este mare si primitoare. Captusit cu piele de culoare “rosu Margaux�, portbagajul cu un volum de 396 dm3 dispune de doua compartimente de depozitare laterale. Accesul se face prin haionul care prezinta o cinematica inedita: acesta aluneca pe deasupra acoperisului, gratie unui brat articulat plasat in centrul sau. Astfel, accesul la portbagaj nu este impiedicat de nici o structura laterala.

Ansamble mecanice care respecta promisiunile designului
Partea mecanica a conceptului Fluence reprezinta o veritabila invitatie la drum.

Motorul pe benzina 3.5 V6, pozitionat in fata, dezvolta 280 CP si ofera o reala placere a conducerii automobilului indiferent de viteza. Trenurile de rulare si sasiul, reglate cu o deosebita finete, permit o deplasare rapida si agila, indiferent de tipul de drum.

Tratamentul acustic remarcabil ii confera motorului o sonoritate grava si puternica.
Placerea de a conduce acest automobil este similara cu cea oferita de o berlina haut de gamme. Cutia de viteze automata cu sase trepte si comanda prin impulsuri ofera un confort excelent si o utilizare ireprosabila.

Este conceptul Fluence. Insa sa nu te mire daca L3 va fi destul de aproape ca design... Renault au promis o masina etalon in clasa, si numai asa se pot bate cu prietenii germani. Se pare ca si ca fiabilitate va da tonul, insa si pretul va fi MULT mai mare ca actuala Laguna.

Sa vedem... la toamna ar trebui sa cam apara poze mai aproape de oficial.

Fluence e cea mai misto masina pe care am vazut-o vreodata. Nu concureaza cu ea decat noile concepte de la Mazda. DAr uite ca pana la urma Laguna 3 nici nu seamana nici nu rasare cu Fluence. Pt. mine e aceeasi dezamagire de la Ford Focus. Mult mai fain precedentul. Asa ca ...io astept Laguna 4 smile.gif...poate poate
